How to use - TePe Mini Flosser

How to Use TePe Mini Flosser

Why is flossing important?

Brushing your teeth cleans the front, back and biting surfaces. However, it does not effectively clean between the teeth where plaque can build up.

Cleaning between the teeth daily helps to:

·       Remove plaque and trapped food

·       Support healthy gums

·       Reduce the risk of tooth decay

·       Help prevent bad breath

Floss is particularly useful in very tight spaces where an interdental brush cannot fit.

Why choose TePe Mini Flosser?

TePe Mini Flosser is designed to make flossing simple and convenient.

It features:

·       Strong, thin PTFE-free floss

·       A pre-loaded handle for easy grip and control

·       A specially designed bite plane to help guide the floss gently between teeth

·       Packaging made from sugar cane for reduced climate impact

The long handle can make flossing easier for those who find traditional string floss difficult to manage.

How to use the TePe Mini Flosser

  1. Grip the flosser between your thumb and index finger.
  2. Use a careful back-and-forth motion to gently guide the floss between your teeth
    and through the contact point.
Do not snap the floss down onto the gum.
  3. Curve the floss into a C-shape around one tooth.
Slide it gently up and down against the side of the tooth and just under the gumline.
  4. Repeat on the neighbouring tooth, cleaning both sides of every space before moving on.
  5. Work around the whole mouth, paying particular attention to the back teeth.

Flossing before brushing is advised as it can help fluoride toothpaste reach between the teeth more effectively.

How often should I floss?

Cleaning between your teeth once a day is recommended. Choose a time that fits your routine, many people prefer the evening.

Is it normal for gums to bleed?

If you are new to flossing, your gums may bleed slightly at first. This can be a sign of existing gum inflammation. With gentle daily cleaning, bleeding often improves within a few days. If bleeding continues, is heavy, or is accompanied by pain, speak to a dental professional.

Can I reuse a Mini Flosser?

Mini flossers are designed for single use.
Dispose of the flosser after cleaning your teeth.

Floss or interdental brushes – which is better?

The most effective tool depends on the size of the space between your teeth.

·       Very tight spaces – floss may be most suitable

·       Larger spaces – interdental brushes are often recommended

·       Braces, crowns, bridges or implants – specialist brushes or implant floss may be advised

You often require combination of tools. Your dental professional can advise you on the most suitable option.

Daily routine tips

• Make interdental cleaning part of your daily routine
• Be gentle, avoid snapping floss against the gum
• Clean between every tooth, including the back molars
• Replace disposable flossers after use

Brushing alone does not clean between the teeth. Adding daily interdental cleaning helps achieve a more complete clean.
